Los asesinos, luego del crimen, arrojaron el cuerpo a un corral para que los chanchos lo comieran y así borrar las pruebas del homicidio. Sin embargo, el cadáver de Costa, de 38 años, fue hallado antes de que lo pudieran hacer desaparecer. Hace una semana, la policía había allanado una propiedad de General Rodríguez donde se creía que estaba el cantante de «Cumbia 420».
Allí se secuestró un importante arsenal que estaba enterrado en una cisterna instalada en el fondo de la vivienda. La mujer que estaba en la casaquinta quedó detenida, acusada de tenencia ilegal de armas de fuego.
